The people behind BITEmagazine

The BITEmagazine, Inc. website

was brought to you by these people.

Be nice to them.

Laura Podolnick, Publisher and Editor in Chief, lives under her bed in Brooklyn. She is 24, a law school dropout, a compulsive navel-gazer, a writer, a painter, and a taker of lengthy walks and scantily clad self-portraits.
Nonfiction Editor David Sticher was born April 13th, 1982 in Niskayuna, New York, but what has he done for us lately?
Fiction Editor Jacob Brown is a writer, actor, musician and filmmaker. He is originally from Connecticut, and now lives in Harlem. He hates it. By day, he can be found in offices around midtown working humiliating temp jobs and muttering to himself while drinking too much coffee. By night, you might find him performing improv comedy or sitting in his apartment weeping. In kindergarten, he was a pterodactyl for Halloween. It was adorable.
Dora Fisher, a graduate student in Political Science at the CUNY graduate center, is the Political Editor at BITEmagazine and has a regular column. She is interested in urban issues of development, race, class and gender. She likes wine, chocolate and wearing the color orange. Dora admires the political writing of Katha Pollitt, Marc Cooper, and Susan Straight.
Copy Editor Erica Barmash writes those little paragraphs on the back covers of books for a major publisher. She aspires to someday have one of those paragraphs written about a book of her own. She has been published on Pindeldyboz.com and lives in Brooklyn, NY.
Intern Dasha is a work in progress, and a considered quality invididual by her trusty companion, "Maya Papaya." She just got hired as Photography Editor, too!
